American Pistachio Growers celebrated the pistachio harvest by giving away pistachio sample packs at KMJ's 100th anniversary celebration at the Big Fresno Fair. KMJ's 100th Anniversary Party included comedian Paul Rodriguez and the Tower of Power, a rhythm and blues, soul and funk band, who were popular in the '60s and '70s.

On October 14, APG exhibited and sponsored a presentation at the Spazio Nutrition Conference in Italy. In his presentation, APG nutrition expert Giorgio Donegani spoke about the role of American pistachios in the Mediterranean Diet and announced the good news that pistachios are an antioxidant powerhouse.

Antioxidant by nature, American pistachios are rich in vitamins and mineral salts. Therefore they get along perfectly with the enthusiast in the long hours of snow sports.
