National Diabetes Awareness MonthDiabetes is on the rise. According to the World Health Organization, 422 million adults have diabetes and 3.7 million deaths are due to diabetes and high blood glucose. That’s 1 person in 11 that have diabetes, globally!1

In a landmark clinical study conducted in Spain, researchers found that pistachio consumption helped people with pre-diabetes improve their condition.2 Before people get type 2 diabetes, they almost always have prediabetes – blood glucose levels that are higher than normal but not high enough to be diabetes. Without treatment, 15 to 30 percent of people with prediabetes will get diabetes within 5 years.
